Domestic cat fosters newborn wild Bobcats -
A walk on the wild side
She was wandering the streets when a little "Grandma" scooped her up, took her home and fed her. Grandma noticed that the black and white domestic kitty with a bobbed tail kept getting larger through her mid-section. Although Grandma had become extremely attached to the sweet, friendly and personable cat, she, herself was scheduled for surgery and had to part with her new-found friend. It was a teary scene when Grandma brought the kitty to Suncoast Animal League and said "goodbye."

Lucy Lou
This beautiful Chocolate Lab mix was found in Hillsborough County in February 2009. She was in physical distress and waundering the streets. Still a puppy, she was just barely surviving and the injury to her leg was severe enough that her future looked bleak. That's when a caring lady pulled her car over and rescued the bleeding and malnurished dog from on-coming traffic.

Girl
For most of her life, she languished on a horse farm in Plant City. She was fed on a regular basis but that was about the extent of her care, as she ran free on the large farm. Over the years, she gave birth to at least two litters of puppies. She was positive with heartworms. She was known simply as "Girl."

Millie & Sammy
We have left our much beloved cats here out of desperation, as we can’t feed them any more. We are having difficulty enough feeding ourselves, we are an elderly disabled couple, in foreclosure of our home, and bankrupt.
